The short version

This website sets no cookies at all - not first-party, not third-party. There is no advertising, no ad tech, and no tracking pixels. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no cookie banner is needed.

I do measure how the site is used, but with self-hosted, cookieless analytics that does not identify you. Details below.

If you are in the EU or EEA: the consent requirement in the ePrivacy Directive applies to storing or reading information on your device. What cookies are set

None. This site sets no cookies, and uses no local storage, session storage, or similar device storage.

For transparency, here is everything the site loads and what it does:

• Analytics (self-hosted, cookieless) - a small script served from cdn.doppio.lu, which I run myself. It records the page URL, the referring page, your browser language and screen size. It sets no cookie, uses no device storage, and does not fingerprint your browser. Your IP address is used only momentarily on my server to derive an approximate location, then discarded - it is never stored. There is no third-party analytics provider: the data goes to my own server and is not shared.

The Fustat typeface is served from this website itself. It was previously loaded from Google Fonts; it is now self-hosted, so no request or IP address is sent to Google. The mobile menu previously loaded Alpine.js from the jsDelivr CDN; it no longer does, so that request is gone too. No part of this site now loads code from a third party.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. To find out how, visit aboutcookies.org. Because this site sets no functional first-party cookies, disabling cookies will not affect how this site works for you.

Changes

If I add a service that introduces cookies or device storage, I will update this page before doing so, and add a consent mechanism if one is required. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
